19 July, 2019. The Deputy Prime Minister, Hon. Semisi Kioa Lafu Sika delivered Tonga’s Voluntary National Review (VNRR) on July 17 2019 at the United Nations High Level Political Forum (HLPF) 2019 at the UN Headquarters in New York, USA.

17 July, 2019. His Majesty King Tupou VI opened Ha’apai’s Agricultural, Fisheries, Tourism and Trade Show this afternoon at Lea ‘a e Tohi Ground, Pangai. Hundreds of visitors attended the event to enjoy the booth displays set up by women groups, farmers, government ministries, fishermen and individuals despite the bad weather.

10 July, 2019. A key project which aims to improve management and recovery of selected fisheries in Tonga to benefit more than 10,000 people in over 40 coastal communities has begun.

7 July, 2019. Mrs. Temaleti Manakovi Aleamotu’a Pahulu of Kolomotu’a has been appointed as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for the Ministry of Justice (MOJ) following an official decision made by the Public Service Commission in consultation with the Hon. Minister of Justice. Mrs Pahulu’s appointment is made with effect from the date of signing of the Chief Executive Officer contract (i.e. 24 June, 2019) for a period of four (4) years.
