Tonga government blame World Bank for Gita reconstruction delays Featured
28 August, 2019. The Tonga government says multi-lateral agencies such as the World Bank are to blame for delays in the reconstruction of schools on Tongatapu.
The lack of progress, which has left a number of schools still using tents as classrooms 17 months after Cyclone Gita, has been drawing criticism in recent weeks.
The government has rejected the accusations and its spokesperson, Lopeti Senituli, says the government has had no control over the hold up, but it has been assured repairs to the schools will start soon.
"The people that are administering the World Bank fund and the multi-lateral development agency funds, have promised that the re-construction will begin by September/October and that the students should be able, when the new school term starts next year, that the students should be returning to their newly constructed schools rooms."

2 CON-ARTISTS' NON-VERBAL LANGUAGE IS REVEALING...1) PM Pohiva's open-collar shirt without a necktie, wearing no ta'ovala, and wearing long pants shows his arrogance toward his audience -- the people of Tonga. At least Tongan aristocrats always wear appropriate attire in public showing respect for the people of Tonga...that's the Tongan faka'apa'apa, no matter who your audience may be.
2) PM Pohiva's schmuck smiles, pale-faced lies are evident with his side-kick Lopeti Senituli looking confused; another lie told by PM that Senituli never heard of before.
3) At least side-kick Senituli dresses appropriately, but he's seen in this photo praying (clasping his palms with nervous open fingers) to God for forgiveness of their lies to the people of Tonga.
4) God's reply: Oh no, you'll suffer physically on earth for the rest of your miserable lives for misleading my people; then see Lucifer in Hell for your paychecks in the next life. -
SPOT ON SPENCER W...PM AND HIS SIDE-KICK SENITULI HAD NO CONTINGENCY PLANS, NO IMPLEMENTATION PLANS, AN NO FEELINGS TOWARDS THESE SCHOOL CHILDREN...They could get $14 million to build a golf course but they could not order the immediate building of schools for the children...BUILD THE DARN SCHOOL YOU FOOLS...
YOU ARE HEARTLESS FOOLS TRYING TO PULL A WOOL OVER THE PUBLIC EYES. -

Listen to their words carefully but put on your curiosity hat.
I was expecting a full disclosure of their plan of action. That is something they already know. Since they did not talk about their implementation plan, it means they never thought of this topic let alone a plan.
If I know what to do, I would list all the steps of my implementation plan. Share it with the public, transparency. I will list all the school houses to be rebuilt and the sequence they will be rebuilt. I will talk about the cost and perhaps who will build them. That is the kind of information the PM should already know. He does not know it because he never thinks about it or has a plan. Remember he passed the annual budget and he should have mentioned the rebuild budget that is in the current fiscal year budget. We’ll, he did not. That speak volume to his ability to lead the country. -

NO MORE EXCUSES!...GOVERNMENT MUST FUND CONSTRUCTION MONEY TO FIX SCHOOLS IMMEDIATELY...WHY SUBJECT CHILDREN TO 17 MONTHS OF "HOMELESS" TENT SCHOOLING? PM AND CABINET NEGLECTING SCHOOL CHILDREN.

Sione T this is not the first tropical cyclone projects funded by the World Bank and donors. There were like projects in the past and former governments did their job. We cannot afford to bite the hand that feed us and this government should know this. They must think before they go public...

WORLD BANK IS NOT RESPONSIBLE...Government of Tonga is responsible for building, maintenance, and planning future growth of schools. Compulsory education forces children to attend insufficient shelter to keep them safe from the elements of nature during school hours...SHAMEFUL!!!!!
PM AND SPOKESPERSON ARE STUPID LIARS...LACK OF CHILDREN'S SAFETY AND SECURITY AT SCHOOL IS TOTALLY IRRESPONSIBLE...WHO EMBEZZLED THE CYCLONE GITA FUNDS? -
Is this the first Tropical Cyclone projects funded by donor/s, such as World Bank?
