The Action Plan Committee (APC) on Illicit Drugs will host the first ever National Symposium on Illicit Drugs on the 6th and 7th October 2021 at the Taufa’ahau Tupou IV Domestic Wharf for stakeholders and the public to share knowledge and experiences to promote collaboration and best practises on how Tonga can work together to improve its preparedness and response to the emerging problems caused by illicit drugs.

10 September, 2021. The Embassy of Japan in Tonga and Tonga’s Waste Authority Limited marked the handover of new waste collection vehicles funded through Japan’s Grant Assistance for Grass Roots Human Security Project, or GGP on Wednesday, 8 September 2021.

9 September, 2021. On 8 September 2021, a Handover Ceremony for the Grant Assistance from the Government of Tonga to Ports Authority Tonga was held at the Prime Minister’s Office, Nuku’alofa.
