Presentation of Credentials to His Majesty King Willem Alexander in The Hague, the Netherlands Featured
19 December, 2021. Her Excellency, The Hon. Titilupe Fanetupouvava’u Tu’ivakano on the 16th December, 2021, presented her Credentials in a solemn audience with His Majesty King Willem Alexander, at the Noordeinde Palace in The Hague, Netherlands.
The Ambassador conveyed the continued wishes of His Majesty King Tupou VI and the Government of the Kingdom of Tonga for the success of Netherlands and the well-being of the Dutch people.
The Ceremony was conducted in a group with respective Ambassadors from the Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal and the Republic of Namibia to mitigate the effects of Covid-19.
The presentation was followed by an Audience where discussions on water management, climate change and renewable and sustainable energy followed.
Ambassador Fanetupouvava’u met other ambassadors who presented their credentials and dignitaries as well as other ranking officials of the Dutch government.
The presentation of credentials is a ceremony that signals the official recognition by the Government of the Kingdom of the Netherlands of Tonga’s Ambassador to Netherlands. This is the first physical audience granted by His Majesty The King of the Netherlands since the beginning of theCovid-19 pandemic.
The Ambassador was accompanied by her spouse, Major Siaosi Kiu Kaho.
The Tonga High Commissioner in London is accredited to 11 Countries and 10 International Organizations.
