Seven people arrested for drug offences Featured
27 May, 2021. The Police Drugs Enforcement Taskforce (DET) continues to double down on targeting drug dealers and holding them to account and removing drugs from our communities as to minimize the harmful effect they have on our people.
Between 18th and 21st of May 2021, DET arrested seven (7) people from four different locations in Tongatapu including Ha’ateiho, Puke, Mataika and Houmakelikao.
Among those arrested were six men and one woman aged 18 to 41.
Apart from 4.56 grams of cannabis and drug utensils, Police also seized two unlicensed firearms, a .22 long rifle and an air operated long rifle.
