Tonga International Academy 2nd Public Lecture Featured
Tonga International Academy conducted it's second public lecture on Monday evening 23rd February 2015. This is the second of a series of public lectures as part of the academy program for this academic year.
The speaker was Mr. Uilou Samani who is also a lecturer at the academy in the field of ecology and environmental science. Mr. Samani spoke on the topic: Taa'iva he Vaa'ita, Multiple Times in Multiple Spaces: Time spacing and Space-Timing for an ecologically sustainable and durable 'Ulufonua (environment).
Mr. Samani served as a public servant for more than 30 years at the Ministry of Land Survey and Natural Resources and became the CEO of the Department of Environment when it was created in the late 90s. Mr. Samani is currently in the final stage of his research for a Ph.D on the same topic in the field of ecology.
Tonga International Academy public lecture series was officially launched on Monday 16 February 2015 and the speaker was Professor Dr. 'Okusitino Mahina who spoke on the topic: The Revival of Fangufangu Musical Instrument and it's Cultural Significance.
The Academy public lecture series is open for the public every Monday evening with speakers from different field of studies share their research, knowledge and experiences.
