Man Arrested for the Nualei Fatal Hit-and-Run in November 2022
3 January 2022. Police investigations into the fatal hit-and-run incident on Taufa’ahau Road at Nualei in November 2022 have resulted in the arrest of a 30-year-old male from Ha’asini on Friday, 30 December 2022.
The 30-year-old has been charged for reckless driving causing death.
Police investigations were initiated when Police received a report from the Vaiola Hospital at around 5:20 am on 20 November 2022 informing of a 29-year-old male who was in critical condition with severe injuries that later claimed his life.
Magistrate Mana Kaufusi placed the accused person in police remand until Monday, 2 January 2023.
