Police Officer Charged with Reckless Driving Featured

Tonga Police charged a 33 year old man from Nukunuku with Reckless driving. The incident took place on Monday 23rd March, 2015 around 1020 am at the village of Vaini.
The driver of the vehicle with the registration plate P1573 was an on duty Police Officer who headed East on Taufa’ahau Road when he accidentally hit a 8 year old boy who attempted to cross the road infront of Beulah College. The boy is from the village of Tatakamotonga.
The 8 year old boy who still remain at Vaiola Hospital suffered from head injuries .
Police continues with the investigation to the cause of the accident as no one is above the law.
