1 October 2023. The Prime Minister, Hon. Hu’akavameiliku, within the margins of the U.S. Pacific Islands Forum Summit in Washington D.C., participated at a breakfast meeting with the philanthropic community that is focused on the environment and climate related support and assistance.

28 September 2023. The Prime Minister, Hon. Hu’akavameiliku, joined distinguished Pacific Islands Forum Leaders, on the invitation of The Hon. Joseph Robinette Biden, President of the United States of America, met in Washington, D.C. on Monday, 25th September 2023 for a 2nd U.S.-Pacific Islands Forum.   

28 September 2023. The Prime Minister of Tonga, Hon. Hu’akavameiliku, received a number of accolades after a remarkable statement he made in his address of the United Nations General Assembly.

24 September, 2023. The Kingdom of Tonga co-hosted a Climate Mobility Summit on the sidelines of the 78th session of the United Nations General Assembly, held at a High-Level Breakfast where some other leaders were present, along with many who participated both in person and online.

20 September, 2023. Prior to the opening of the General Debate of the 78th Session of the United Nations General Assembly, the Hon. Hu’akavameiliku, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Tonga, held a bilateral meeting with H.E. Mr. António Guterres, United Nations Secretary General at the United Nations Headquarters on 17th September 2023.

20 September, 2023. The Prime Minister of Tonga, Hon. Hu’akavameiliku, held a bilateral meeting this morning with the President of Estonia, His Excellency Mr. Alar Karis, on the sidelines of the 78th Session of the United Nations General Assembly at the UN Headquarters in New York.

31 July, 2023. Tonga and the United States of America are committed to strengthening their partnership on a number of priorities including the climate crisis, clean energy and sustainable infrastructure, maritime security, illegal, unreported and unregulated (IUU) fishing and digital transformation.
