Police appeal for information on Saturday morning's woman attacker Featured
19 July, 2016. Police are investigating an assault on a woman that occurred on Saturday morning 16 July 2016.
At about 9.30 am last Saturday, a 56 year old woman was attacked from behind by a man whilst running through the sidewalk at the waterfront in Sopu,
Tongatapu.
The woman was knocked to the ground, and punched repeatedly on the face.
The offender ran from the scene when the woman screamed while fending him off. Police are carrying out a full scale investigation to locate the offender.
Police are appealing for information from anyone who was in the area at the time and saw anyone acting suspiciously, or knows anything about this attack.
