Majority of Tongan nurses not meeting professional standards Featured
13 May 2016. The Chief of Nursing in Tonga says 70 percent of nurses are yet to reach the national professional standard.
'Amelia Tu'ipulotu told Radio Tonga a survey showed an urgent need to improve nursing standards.
Dr Tu'ipulotu said they were currently reviewing the Nurse Act, particularly around the code of conduct and code of ethics.
She said nurses should ensure they work according to the Nursing Ethics and Code of Conduct.
Dr Tu'ipulotu said this was not only to save lives but to also treat the patients with care and love and help promote good health.
More than 300 nurses work at the Ministry of Health.

Its ok nurses no one appreciates your good and sacrificial work the man above will appreciates all your hard working. As i have recalled from one of the quotes " let people that likes to talk to talk because u will know how full of rubbish they are" so let people say things about you guys as we see them we can tell how full of waste they are.. loads loads of love to vaiola hospital all the doctors and nurse thanks for the very hard work your doing even though people look down on your service.much much love...

Why do we still employ these sub standard nurses boss???? How many patient's life has been lost due to such incompetent and unprofessional nurses working for you HOD...???? This number so is high that to put it out there for the public is an insult to all nurses who work for your Ministry.?????
