Linda Folaumoetu'i appointed as Tonga's Attorney General Featured
27 March, 2019. The King of Tonga, Tupou VI, has appointed Linda Simiki Folaumoetu'i as the country's new attorney general.
Ms Folaumoetu'i got her legal education in New Zealand, Fiji and Australia.
She has previously been solicitor general, six years as a litigation advisor on the Regional Assistance Mission to Solomon Islands and then the chief executive in the office of the ombudsman.
Ms Folaumoeu'i replaces "Aminiasi Kefu, who has been in the role, in an acting capacity for several years.
