Japanese Comedian “Showko” touring the Kingdom of Tonga Featured
14 August, 2018. The Embassy of Japan in collaboration with the Japan Foundation is happy to host one of Japan’s female comedians, known internationally as “Showko” in her tour to Tonga 2018, to perform for the people of the Kingdom.
Showko Showfukutei is a comedian, ventriloquist, and a Rakugo – Japanese traditional comedy performer who has performed internationally for TV, radio, comedy clubs, festivals and major events, and was also a finalist on Australia’s Got Talent.
She will be in Nuku’alofa from the 14 to the 17 of August, 2018 and will visit two High Schools and perform exclusively for their students, before her free public performance at the Tanoa International Dateline Hotel from 7:00pm, Thursday, 16 August 2018.
Showko’s tour is one of the many cultural events hosted by the Embassy of Japan to enhance knowledge of the people of Tonga into Japan’s culture, and to foster the warm and friendly relations between the people of Japan and the people of the Kingdom of Tonga.
