Complaint over the 2015 External Examination Results Featured
Nuku'alofa, 29 January 2016. Below is a letter from one of the concerned parents regarding the results of the Scondary School External Examination in 2015. The move by the Ministry of Education in 2015 to adopt the use of raw marks instead of standardization has taken its toll on parents but most importanly students.

More questions asked, and probably more to come. I hope that Heti had received a response from the ministry of education. I think the ministry is currently in its worst state of management limbo. None of the Deputy CEOs is brave enough to step up and lead the organization. Leadership has become a game of passing the puck, while they wait for the decision to come from above.
I wonder when will the CEO position for Education be filled! The organization needs a CEO and the Minister also needs to take a step back from the current micromanaging approach and give the CEO the much needed professional space. -

It is sad to learn about the way government is dealing with education in a country that is proud of its reputation as the country with the most university graduates per capita. Shame on the Minister of Education and his officials.
