Parliamentary campaigner speaks out in Tonga Featured

15 July, 2016. The Secretary General of the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association, Akbar Khan, says there can be no democracy if citizens' voices aren't heard.
He said it's necessary to choose the best people to become leaders and parliament's role is to ensure voters' voices and interests are represented.
Mr Khan saidwomen make up half of the world's population yet continue to be grossly under-represented in parliaments.
Radio Tonga reports Mr Khan saying a modern parliament addresses the concerns of all sectors of society.

Also no democracy if leaders pursue personal agenda for personal gain.
Voters voices aren't heard when leaders exercise bush politics (building themselves not the nation).
Therefore Mr. Khan and your Team; enjoy Tonga on your next trip, do not waste your precious time on teaching quality policies to thick head Cabinet. It won't change anything as they are busy drinking blood.
