Rugby sevens prospects in Tonga sinking lower and lower
Tonga's involvement in rugby sevens tournaments seems to have hit an all-time low, missing out on a sport in the upcoming Wellington sevens.
They've also been excluded from the line-up for the Commonwealth Youth Games sevens tournament in September, even though it's being played on their doorstep in Samoa.
So while the 15-a-side squad is looking forward to the World Cup later this year with some confidence, sports writer Finau Fonua at Matangi Tonga says sevens rugby in Tonga is in danger of disappearing off the radar altogether.
