PNG Government is committed to refurbish Tonga's Teufaiva National Stadium Featured

23 October, 2016. The Government of Papua New Guinea through the Office of Sports Ministry is committed to supporting Tonga in hosting the 2019 Pacific Games.
According to Fiji Times report, Sports Minister Justin Tkatchenko confirm PNG's commitment to Tonga on a response to a media statement by the Organisers of the 2019 Pacific Games in Tonga, highlighting the fact that there is no sign of fulfillment of a promise made by Papua New Guinea to help refurbish the Teufaiva National Stadium.
Meanwhile the Tonga Government has recently reaffirmed its commitment to host the 2019 Pacific Games despite media reports on the negative comments by Tonga's Prime Minister on the status of the preparation and his intention for Tonga to pull out as a host .
