Having more political parties has its advantage in that , they can debate and squabble over proposals put before Parliament , as it should be . What's happening today , was already in the wind , the wind of change was already blowing , long before people had the courage to speak out . To understand what's happening today , we must understand why ? it was because the government of that day was ONE--SIDED , so everything is done according to the whims of the nobility for they held the numbers . Fast forward to today , The party that's governing , are doing exactly the same thing they were so against doing if they are elected to government . Now they are in government ; all the righteous intentions are out the door , its now DO as I say , or else ! it is according to the WHIM of the Premier , whether we like it or not its the truth . Somebody was interviewed in the past once said quote " The kings rule is dictatorial , suppressive , and oppressive . end quote What ? this Premier is doing the exact same thing . It matters not , how many new parties joining the fray , 'cause at the moment it seems like everyone's for himself and to hell with the consequences . All Tonga needs is good governance provision of public services in an efficient manner , higher participation given to certain groups in the population like the poor and the minorities , the guarantee that citizens have the opportunity of checks and balance on the government , establish norms for the protection of citizens property and the existence of an independent judiciary systems . You don't need saints to govern a country , just a few John Honesty , a couple of David Integrity plus a few Sam Humble and you have a team that should succeed . ”
