If we still wish to hold on to our culture and our heritage , we must work together as one people one nation a family of kinsman . We cannot afford to be otherwise , we will never have peace and stability in our land , once we tore up the foundation that was laid down by the father of modern Tonga TUPOU 1 , we will never be united as of before . Tonga will sink into the abyss of a new dark age . We have always proclaimed we were never colonised , but if we are in turmoil some powerful nation might take that as an excuse to take over the Government thereby making our homeland a vassal state . It may seem far fetched , but it could happen , ”
