I totally agree with you Vili that it is an interesting case to follow.

However, I am at total opposite to when you say " It shows that Hansen knows a lot about the laws of the US. Other immigration lawyers are losing their customers to Hansen's company and they calling it a scam!". I find it hard to believe that he (Hansen) had no law degree and that he knows more about the law than those who had legal study. It does not make sense. And lik what Judge Judy said, if it does not make sense, it is not right (true)!

Anyway, with the best judicial system anywhere in the world, everything against Hansen now is still an allegation. It is the duty of the state to prove their allegation and Hansen to disprove that allegation. And it is interesting, that I agree with.

Here are selected quote from the website shown below (with my comments in UPPER CASE WRITING)

But they don't affect adults' immigration status, said U.S. Attorney Benjamin Wagner, although they can be helpful for those under age 16.

"Taking advantage of the hopes and dreams of undocumented immigrants, who are poorly positioned to seek the protection of law enforcement, to extract fees based on false promises, is a particularly predatory and manipulative type of fraud," Wagner said.

He said the scheme that began in 2012 had "a certain audacity" that separated it from routine immigration fraud.

A CERTAIN AUDACITY! - THAT CAN BE A COMPLIMENT FOR HANSEN!

"Fraud schemes come in a lot of different flavors, and this one is pretty creative, I think. Far-fetched I guess would be another word for it. I haven't seen one quite like this before involving adult adoptions as a path to citizenship as a fraud scheme," he said

"PRETTY CREATIVE" CAN ALSO BE A COMPLIMENT FOR HANSEN!

Hansen, 63, of the Sacramento suburb of Elk Grove, was arrested Thursday on conspiracy and a dozen fraud charges that carry a maximum penalty of 20 years in prison.

A POSSIBLE 20 YEARS IN JAIL!

SO VILI, A GOOD DEFENSE AGAINST THE CHARGE IS TO SHOW THE FEDS THAT THERE WERE MANY PEOPLE WHO GAIN THEIR GREEN CARD THROUGH HANSEN'S COMPANY. THIS SHOULD BE EASY TO FIND. AND IT SHOULD KILL ALL ALLEGATION THAT IS A SCAM. IF HANSEN, OR HIS SUPPORTERS LIKE YOU, CAN'T SUBSTANTIATE ANY RESULT THEN THE FEDS WILL PROVE THEIR CASE IN COURT THAT IS A SCAM. MOREOVER, WHY WOULD YOU WANT TO GO TO PRISON FOR 20 YEARS RATHER THAN DISCLOSING THE RESULT OF YOUR WORK.

CREATIVE GUY AND THINK A REAL SMART GUY BUT HE WILL NOT BE A SMART GUY IF HE IS WILLING TO BE IN PRISON FOR 20 YEARS RATHER THAN DISCLOSE THE INFORMATION TO PROVE THAT IT WAS NOT A SCAM!!!
